About the Farley Foundation

The Farley Foundation is a registered charity that assists people in need by subsidizing the cost of veterinary care for the pets that mean the world to them.

Established by the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association (OVMA) in 2001, the Foundation assists people in need by subsidizing the cost of necessary (non-elective) veterinary care for their pets.

The Foundation currently serves only Ontario residents; however, there have been many requests to consider an expansion of the program to assist Canadians across Canada.

The Farley Foundation is generously administered by the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association. This relationship keeps the cost of administering the program to a minimum.

The Foundation relies on donations to be able to provide funding to people and pets in need.

What Percentage of Farley Foundation Donations Are Used to Pay for Veterinary Care for Those in Need?

The Farley Foundation wants donors to know that:

The Foundation does not pay any outside organization to raise funds on its behalf. Fundraising is coordinated by staff and volunteers of the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association (OVMA).

While the Foundation does incur some costs in conjunction with its fundraising efforts, the vast majority of these costs are paid for by OVMA and corporate sponsors, not donor revenues.

Administrative costs for the Foundation are minimal, as it is administered by OVMA.

100% of every dollar that the Foundation has ever issued a tax receipt for has been used to assist pet owners and pets in need.
